The mythology of Juno / Mitología de Juno

In Roman mythology, Juno is the protective goddess of marriage, and was also recognized as representing motherhood. She was the daughter of Ops and Saturn, sister of Jupiter, with whom she later married and had three children named Mars, Ilitía and Vulcano. Being the wife of Jupiter made her queen of the gods. He could also throw lightning bolts like him. For the Romans, the goddess Juno was one of the most important deities because she represented the life force and the origin itself from marriage and motherhood, but many feared her, since she had a reputation for being cruel and savage.

En la mitología romana,  Juno es la diosa protectora del matrimonio, y también se la reconocía como representación de la maternidad. Era hija de Ops y Saturno, hermana de Júpiter, con quien luego contrajo matrimonio y tuvieron tres hijos de nombre Marte, Ilitía y Vulcano. El ser la esposa de Júpiter la convertía en reina de los dioses. También podía arrojar rayos como él. Para los romanos la diosa Juno era una de las deidades más importantes pues representaba la fuerza de la vida y el origen mismo a partir de el matrimonio y la maternidad, pero muchos la temían, ya que tenía fama de cruel y salvaje.
